This e-learning module is the recording of the webinar titled "Designing An Enduring People Strategy for Businesses in Europe and China – Driving Success, Adapting to Change, Managing Disruption" presented on 12 June 2024, where the Partner and Head of the Employment team of Maples Group in Ireland, Karen Killalea, moderated a panel of international and experienced employment lawyers examining how employers could successfully attract and retain talent, handle changes and integration programmes, and tackle disruption in the workplace.


These employment lawyers from across Europe and China contributed to a diverse and vibrant sharing and discussion on the challenges and successes of operating businesses and managing people in Europe and in China. They looked at some of the key considerations such as:  

  • Insights on consulting with employee representative bodies, European Works Councils and trade unions and HR/people trends in Germany
  • Highlights of the labour law framework in China and key considerations guiding the implementation of workforce changes
