Course Description

This module provides directors with a strategic lens on ESG stakeholder engagement, emphasising the Board’s role in overseeing and guiding meaningful interactions with key ESG stakeholders. We will explore how to identify and prioritise stakeholder groups, understand their evolving expectations, and navigate complex trade-offs and communication challenges through the lens of early-stage reporters or SMEs.

In overseeing the design of a stakeholder engagement programme, the Board is integral in guiding management in setting proper objectives, using appropriate methods, and analysing the results in a meaningful manner. We will run through some typical results of a stakeholder engagement survey and the potential results companies can unlock through better engagement with their stakeholders.
