Chew Chin Yee joined Singapore Exchange (SGX Group) on 1 August 2008 and heads the Regulatory Development and Policy (RDP), Enforcement, and Strategic Planning Office (SPO) within Singapore Exchange Regulation (SGX RegCo). 

He currently oversees the Policy, Enforcement and Strategic Planning functions within Singapore Exchange Regulation (SGX RegCo), playing a key role in shaping and strengthening the regulatory framework that underpins SGX Group’s markets.  The Policy team formulates regulatory policies for the market, administers the trading and clearing rules, and engages the Monetary Authority of Singapore closely.   The Strategic Planning team drives SGX RegCo’s forward looking initiatives, while the Enforcement team ensures that commensurate penalties are meted out for breaches of SGX’s rules. 

Previously, Mr Chew was Assistant Registrar at the Supreme Court of Singapore, Deputy Public Prosecutor at the Attorney General’s Chambers, and a Justices’ Law Clerk. He is an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore and holds a law degree from the University of Oxford.
